Jokulsarlon Beach

Description

The ice tries to escape in the ocean but the waves always bring them back on the beach.

I set up the tripod and wait for a beautiful wave. And then I end up walking in the water, the sand softens and make the tripod sinking. Curiously I have no blurred photo.

When the seas are stormy and the nature is at its strongest point, it is both dangerous and yet beautiful. As if drawn to a magnet, we cannot escape it but gaze upon the wild expression of raw power.

Water being the strongest and most deadly.

The waves crashing onto the rocks carried by strong currents seem as if they would engulf them - and yet the ice holds. And each of the waves flows into a vortex, spinning... spinning... engulfing...

The colours of the photo are excellent. The blue tones are brilliantly emphasised and match the whitish freshness with amazing softness.

Yes, powerful, yet beautiful!

Masterfully captured!
